The Transformation of Banking

In January of 1984, our founder, the late J. Alton Wingate, Sr. opened the first Supermarket Bank® in Cornelia, Georgia for Community Bank & Trust inside an Ingles Supermarket; shortly thereafter, FSI became the first company to license the in-store banking concept by the trademark, The Supermarket Bank®. FSI has since become the preeminent leader and consultant in this expanding and everchanging segment.

Market Contractors, Ltd., an Oregon Corporation, acquired Financial Supermarkets, Inc. on March 4, 2010. Market Contractors is a national general contractor based in Portland, Oregon with over 36 years experience specializing in financial, retail, and healthcare design and construction.
